The Lesser Ritual of the Hexagram
Step 1 — Preliminary Alignment
Begin by performing the Analysis of the Key Word (L.V.X.), establishing alignment with the solar current of Light and preparing the sphere of operation.
Step 2 — The Hexagram of Fire (East)
Facing East, with the magical weapon, trace the Hexagram of Fire, vibrating the word ARARITA.
This sacred word is formed from the initials of a Hebrew sentence meaning:
“One is His Beginning; One is His Individuality; His Permutation is One.”
The Hexagram of Fire consists of two equilateral triangles, both with their apices pointing upward.
- Begin at the top point of the upper triangle and trace it in a dextro-rotary (clockwise) direction.
- The apex of the lower triangle should coincide with the central point of the upper triangle.
Step 3 — The Hexagram of Earth (South)
Turning to the South, trace the Hexagram of Earth, vibrating ARARITA.
In this hexagram, the apex of the lower triangle points downward, and the figure should be capable of inscription within a circle, symbolizing stability and material form.
Step 4 — The Hexagram of Air (West)
Facing West, trace the Hexagram of Air, vibrating ARARITA.
This hexagram resembles that of Earth; however, the bases of the two triangles coincide, forming a diamond shape that signifies balance and equilibrium of forces.
Step 5 — The Hexagram of Water (North)
Turning to the North, trace the Hexagram of Water, vibrating ARARITA.
In this figure, the lower triangle is placed above the upper, so that their apices coincide, representing reflection, receptivity, and the descent of force into form.
Step 6 — Closing the Ritual
Conclude the ritual by once again performing the Analysis of the Key Word (L.V.X.), sealing the operation, equilibrating the elemental forces invoked, and restoring the operator to a harmonized state of consciousness.
